Calibration of peripheral devices such as cameras or scanners is necessary for accuracy of your measurements. Atoms Precision V2 can be calibrated for your system in a few easy steps based on an initial measurement of geometric primitives. Once the calibration process is completed, for example, by measuring a certified gauge, Atoms Precision V2 is ready to measure your parts in accordance with this particular setup. Should you wish to change the application to work with a different hardware simply recalibrate the software and you will be assured of accuracy in your new measurements

Contours can be derived from DXF files created with your CAD software and automatically measured with specified tolerances Integration with CAD software works by exporting DXF files from your particular software. Since Atoms Precision V2 measures the contour of a manufactured part you can define the dimensions by simply checking the minimum and maximum deviations between the contour and the DXF file. Furthermore Atoms Precision also gives you the ability to reverse engineer your parts with a built-in function that allows you to export contours captured with a camera or scanner into DXF files allowing you to reverse engineer your parts.
