Telecentric lenses have been designed to improve optical measurement compared to fixed focal length lenses as they correct perspective errors that yield variations in magnification through the depth of field. This lens offers superior image quality and more symmetrical images that are required for very precise software measurement. The housing has been streamlined to accommodate the required larger objective lens to optimize the size of the object viewed for each magnification.
