With the help of Atoms Precision V2 even small quantities of complicated parts can be measured automatically. When amounts from 1 to 5000 pieces have to be measured, conventional methods are often time-consuming and prone to human error.
Additionally customers are more often demanding a higher level Quality Assurance and certain industries implemented a standard of 100% part control, this is where automatic optical measuring delivers an advantage for manufacturers by simplifying and speeding up the process of measurement.
The core function of the software is to process captured images and validate the dimensions of the subject to be measured. This could be a complicated thread or an intricate part with several sections to be measured, the ultimate advantage of Atoms Precision V2 lies in the speed, accuracy and objectivity of measurement.
The software essentially calculates the dimensions of the object in the image with a combination of algorithms and compares it to a pre-defined pixel size which results from the calibration of the system by the user.
Atoms Precision V2 can be used with a wide variety of hardware components from different manufacturers allowing you to use optical non-contact measurement at a lower cost compared to fixed systems.
Ideally suited for small to medium sized manufacturers Atoms Precision V2 offers flexibility and a low investment cost for introduction into the Quality Assurance process.
